Properties

Brief Description The main goal of the Nuclear Materials Modelling and Characterisation group is to develop existing and propose new materials with applications throughout the nuclear cycle, e.g. actinide chemistry, radiation damage effects,
and new materials immune to radiation damage. The research utilises a combination of experimental and modelling based approaches to problem solving and the outputs from such work are then used to drive further research into new materials.
Major Research Topics - Fundamentals of radiation damage; Materials for extreme environments; Behaviour of actinides and fission products.
Subject arc-code/020299
