Properties
Brief Description | Synthetic analogues of kimzeyite (Ca3(Zr,Hf)2(Al,Fe,Si)3O12) were investigated using neutron powder diffraction, as well as 57Fe Mossbauer spectroscopy to understand the potential immobilisation for nuclear waste and long term stability. |
---|---|
Mossbauer spectra analysis was recorded at 298 K with a microprocessor controlled spectrometer using a ca 25 microCi 57Co/Rh source. The diffraction patterns were collected at room temperature with an incident wavelength of 1.3300 A. | |
