Brief Description Quan Hua is a Senior Research Scientist at ANSTO with 15 years experience in radiocarbon dating and its application. He is leader of "Atmospheric and oceanic radiocarbon systems"
Task within the Isotopes in Climate Change and Atmospheric Systems (ICCAS) project, which studies atmospheric and oceanic radiocarbon systems and their linkage to climate change during the past 50,000 years.
The Task has been operated in collaboration with scientists across many Australian universities (Univ. Sydney, Queensland, Wollongong, James Cook, Melbourne, Newcastle, Tasmania and ANU), and overseas universities and research institutes
(Univ. Birmingham and London, UK; South China Sea Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China; Nagoya and Tokyo Univ., Japan).
He has also contributed to developing the capability in preparing ultra-small radiocarbon samples for AMS analysis.
